FOOD & BEVERAGE
Dishwasher (part-time) - Ensures every interaction with residents, visitors, staff or guests is an exceptional one that meets or exceeds their expectations; Maintains sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen sufficient to allow regular tours of the area by residents and guests; Safely and efficiently operates dish washing machine, pot & pan sink, and the mop station according to procedure manual; Ensures proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing and machine drying; Removes from service any dishes, utensils and glassware that are damaged and broken; Stocks and rotates delivered food and non-food items; Empties and clears garbage bins and breakdown of boxes; Responsible for deep cleaning of kitchen and all equipment; Completes all side work and cleaning assignments as directed; Handles china, glassware and equipment safely to minimize breakage; Performs all other duties as assigned.
Prep Cook (full-time) - Assists with the preparation of all food in accordance with the daily menu plan and food production schedule using standardized recipes in a timely manner; Assists cooks with the preparation of ingredients for entrees; Assists cooks in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work stations including pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish; Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents; Plates food in an attractive manner and ensures that all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with appropriate foods; Keeps work area and serving line equipment clean; Adheres to the department sanitation cleaning schedules; Works the food line during mealtime as needed; Keeps stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean and ensures that food supply stocks are rotated, all perishables are labeled, dated and sorted properly; Keeps food waste to a minimum by using food storage and food recycling techniques; Performs all other duties as assigned.
Line Cook (full-time) - Prepares all food in accordance with the daily menu plan and food production schedule using standardized recipes in a timely manner; Plates food in an attractive manner and ensures that all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with the appropriate foods; Keeps work areas and serving line equipment clean and adheres to sanitation cleaning schedules; Works the food line during mealtime; Ensures proper food temperature maintenance and follow HACCP standards; Keeps stock rooms, coolers and freezers clean and ensures that food supply stocks are rotated, all perishables are labeled, dated and sorted properly; Keeps food waste to a minimum by using food storage and food recycling techniques; Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices; Performs all other duties as assigned.
NURSING
C.N.A / N.A. (full-time 2nd shift, part-time and per diem; 1st & 3rd shift) - Ensures every interaction with residents, visitors, staff or guests is an exceptional one that meets or exceeds their expectations. Complies with all Personal Care Home Regulations as well as Federal, State and Local Regulations. Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment. Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed. Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated. Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed. Answers signal lights promptly. Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly. Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment. Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation. Attend all required training, in-service and staff meetings. Encourage teamwork through cooperative interaction with co-workers and other departments. Support a positive and professional image through action and dress. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Green Hills Manor. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Shift Supervisor (full-time, 3rd shift) - Administers and assists with resident care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The supervisor will help in all areas that are needed to promote the comfort and well being of the residents. Administers and assists with routine treatments and procedures according to the Policies and Procedures of Green Hills Manor. Maintains a courteous, positive approach with residents and families, treating them with dignity, providing an atmosphere of trust, respect and privacy during the delivery of care. Utilizes effective communication skills, interacts positively and cooperatively with all members of the health care team. Demonstrates repsonsible behavior in all aspects of job performance. Demonstrates flexibility and adapts to changing situations. Other duties include: Read and understand the shift report; Read the communication book; Provide assignments to nursing assistants; Make sure that all assignments are completed correctly and in a timely manner; Perform the nursing office duties included but not limited to: receiving and writing up orders, receiving, writing and reordering medications, charting, filing, telephone calls to resident's families and physicians as needed and other office duties as assigned; Medication administration as defined by the Department of Public Welfare; Attends mandatory staff in services and utilizes this information to improve resident care and job performance; Train new staff members as needed; Foster teamwork among all direct care staff; Performs all other duties as assigned.
ACTIVITIES
Activities Assistant (part-time) - Encourages and motivates personal home residents to participate in programs designed to provide physical, cognitive, spiritual, social and recreational stimulation; Assist in planning, preparing, promoting, facilitating, coordinating and participating in assigned activities; Assists in maintaining accurate records; Helps residents with money management when on outings on an as needed basis; Encourages families, volunteers and staff to participate in activities with residents; Assists with decorations for designated areas for holidays, seasons and other occasions as assigned; Complies with safety regulations to ensure the well being of residents while participating in activities; Assists with the distributing of daily mail; Assists residents at meal times in the dining room; Assists in posting and distributing the monthly activity calendar and newsletter; Attend all pertinent resident functions; Performs all other duties as assigned.
