Heritage of Green Hills to Break Ground June 15th!

HERITAGE OF GREEN HILLS TO BREAK GROUND JUNE 15
Public invited to new retirement community’s “Salute to Freedom”

(Reading, Pa.) — The Heritage of Green Hills Retirement Community will hold a groundbreaking event on Friday, June 15, to mark the start of construction — months ahead of its previously announced building schedule.

The community expects hundreds of visitors to its colonial-themed “Salute to Freedom” celebration, which is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy horse and carriage rides, Revolutionary-era actors, games, food and beverages and more.

This fun-filled celebration will begin with the Groundbreaking Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. followed by the “Salute to Freedom” festival until 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Heritage of Green Hills Welcome Center at 10 Tranquility Lane in Cumru Township, across from the Flying Hills Golf Course.

Scheduled activities at a “Salute to Freedom” include face painting, horse-drawn carriage rides, caricatures and tours. Also on hand: a fife-and-drum corps, Uncle Sam, and colonial actors who will educate guests on colonial times.

Attendees will also be invited to plant a seedling in a pot of newly excavated soil to take home and watch it grow as The Heritage of Green Hills Retirement Community develops. Fine foods and festival fare will be available.

The Heritage of Green Hills, which will become Berks County’s largest continuing care retirement community, accelerated its construction timeframe in response to a high level of interest from future residents.

After the June 15 event, pre-construction pricing will end, and the entrance fee and the monthly fees for all units will revert to standard prices. Those who take advantage of pre-construction pricing by June 15 will save thousands off the entrance fee and pay lower monthly fees for as long as they stay at Heritage.

The event is free, but interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP. To RSVP or to learn more details, visit www.HeritageofGreenHills.com or calling the community at 610.777.4431.
