Encore Tour of Wellness Event
The Heritage of Green Hills and Saint Joseph Medical Center sponsored Encore’s Tour of wellness event the end of May. Visitors could learn about being stronger, healthier and happier in their daily lives. Dr. Newman, Green Hills Family Medical Associates, informed the audience about aging. Motivational Speaker Carolyn Brooks spoke about having a little humor in your life. Participants could enjoy stopping at various vendors learning about the different aspects of the six dimensions in the Heritage’s Well by Design program-physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and social. Various health screenings were given out, blood pressures were taken and healthy food was eaten. The day was filled with many events that included: Tai Chi Class, art demonstrations, water aerobics, health walk, manicures, fitness training and much more! All proceeds benefited Berks Encore.
