Spring is around the coner according to Heritage Hank
Heritage Hank made his appearance at the first ever Heritage of Green Hills Groundhog Day celebration.
Former Punxsutawney, PA resident Barbara Willar lead the festivities and educated other residents at the Heritage about the annual events in Punxsutawney and the people involved. About twenty five residents made their way to the Heritage Tavern and gathered around the fireplace to watch the prediction unfold. Groundhog cookies were served and Groundhog Chili was on the menu for lunch. Residents chanted for Phil and booed at his prediction.
Now it was Hank’s turn. A handful of brave residents made their way outside to the Heritage Hump to see what Heritage Hank had to predict.
After rousing Hank from his burrow (Hank- a stuffed animal, burrow- trash can) Hank spoke to his handler in Hankish and announced Spring is on its way! He did not see his shadow at the Heritage of Green Hills.
